DF tells youth: Change reality to your liking

Initially, it sounded frightening, but over time, our Bosnian-Herzegovinian ear inexplicably gets used to every piece of news, including this one, which stated: in 2015, around 80,000, mostly young people, left Bosnia and Herzegovina! This figure alone speaks volumes about the society we live in, and how far the rhetorical, and for the existence of people living here, destructive, political and nationalist games of all ruling structures over the past twenty-odd years have brought us, it was announced from the Democratic Front, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- Every word spoken on the occasion of Youth Day at this moment would sound empty, like pre-election rhetoric, except for the key fact that must be loudly stated: "It is high time for a generational change, this ruling generation has been almost the same since the war. Not only are they not changing policies, and thus the attitude towards the young population, but their faces aren't changing either.".

Passivity as a response from the youth, disinterest in politics in general, a feeling of disgust among these people when the word is even mentioned, are understandable. None of those 80,000 mentioned, or at least a larger part of them, left their "homeland" out of "spite" but were forced to do so. Either they didn't have an adequate name, or they didn't have political, or any other kind of "connections", or the state (at any level) did not enable them to stay and survive as their own masters in their own land.

Again, and not to sound pathetic or like propaganda: "Only YOU can change this BiH! YOU know best how." We know that people born in Mostar as far back as 1990 have never had the opportunity to elect their city government! The fight for Mostar must continue! Unfortunately, unlike the people of Mostar, those who have the opportunity generally do not go to the polls and thus leave the situation unchanged, which absolutely benefits the ruling structures, the robberies, the debts, and the end of this tragedy is becoming clear - but it will, unfortunately, be fatal for all of us.

Therefore, go to the upcoming local elections, the cleansing of this country must start from the local community in general, and let it end in 2018 at the general elections. Let's hope it won't be too late. It is true that, here and now, the slogan: "The world rests on the young" sounds tragicomic, but only YOU, the youth and the future of a normal country, can realize it, according to YOUR liking and no one else's!
