DF: Political representatives and state employees from RS must curb the Chetniks

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Democratic Front calls on political representatives and employees in state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who come from the entity of Republika Srpska, to publicly condemn the announced gathering of Chetniks in Višegrad.

"We believe that all political representatives and employees of state institutions who come from RS, and work in Sarajevo, have an obligation for moral and security reasons to send a clear message to Chetnik extremists regarding the announcement of their rampage and the creation of an atmosphere of intolerance and general insecurity for citizens. By doing so, they would contribute to stopping hatred and curbing the tensions that Chetnik extremists want to produce," stated the DF.

Otherwise, the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement announced a gathering and an all-day program for March 13th to "mark the anniversary of the arrest of Draža Mihailović, a Chetnik commander from World War II."

The Association of Citizens "All for a Better Višegrad" also spoke out, demanding that the gathering of Chetniks in Višegrad, a city that went through the most terrible ordeal during the aggression and where 3,000 Bosniak civilians were killed, be stopped and banned. Even today, criminals walk freely in the city, and Bosniak returnees are exposed to provocations. They also called on the mayor of Višegrad to ban this gathering.
