DF Will Not Back Down: As Many Ministerial Positions as Čović Gets, We Demand Too!

The Presidency of the Democratic Front took a firm stance at today's session for the upcoming negotiations with SDA and HDZBiH, which will be held on Sunday in the Presidency of BiH building in Sarajevo, writes the Patria News Agency.

- When forming the Council of Ministers of BiH, due to our program and political goals, which are to fulfill the conditions for the EU and NATO, the DF agreed to a compromise and concessions to HDZ. However, we are done with compromises. Our firm stance is that as many ministerial positions in the Government of the Federation of BiH as Dragan Čović gets, the DF should also get.

In addition, the three guaranteed positions from the Serb people in the Constitution of the Federation of BiH were our demand from the beginning, and we will not back down from it. We will not give up the ministerial position from the Serb people that Čović persistently seeks. We will not change our stance, even if the negotiations to be held on Sunday last for 24 or 48 hours without interruption.

There are no more concessions. The vote of an HDZ voter is worth as much as the vote of a DF voter. After we took a firm stance at the last negotiations that there would be no more concessions, the public's reaction, our voters' reaction, was positive, says Emir Suljagić, a member of the DF Presidency, for the Patria News Agency.

Suljagić added that they do not want to speculate on the names of future DF ministers in public until the negotiations with the coalition partners are finalized.
