DF to launch initiative: Money spent nonchalantly while BH property abroad deteriorates

The Democratic Front will in the coming period advocate for significantly greater efforts than has been the case so far for Bosnia and Herzegovina to take possession of valuable property in Serbia and Croatia, which today is deteriorating completely unused, according to a comment from the Democratic Front on the latest Decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH allocating 3.6 million KM for the purchase of buildings in Zagreb and Belgrade, which would house BH embassies.

-At this moment, there is quite a nonchalant approach to the purchase of real estate in Serbia and Croatia that would serve the needs of BiH's diplomatic and consular missions in neighboring countries, while engagement in putting existing property into use or selling it is almost non-existent.

The planned amount for the purchase of real estate, whose estimated value is close to 4 million KM, can certainly be reduced if the existing property is put into use.

In the coming period, the DF will initiate at the level of the Council of Ministers an initiative to link the initiated procedures in such a way that BiH achieves savings, while at the same time responsibly managing its property outside BiH, the DF states.
