Sabotage Details: Dug a Hole and Cut the Cable with an Axe

Unknown perpetrators cut the power supply cable with an axe on the eve of the completion of the second and most important phase of works on the 1. mart tunnel on Corridor 5C, the BH News Agency Patria has learned.

As confirmed for NAP by Ensad Karić, director of JP Autoceste FBiH, an unknown perpetrator dug a hole in a field from the direction of Zenica, found the cable, cut it with an axe, and then returned the spot to its original state so that the damage could not be found.

- The ceremony marking the completion of the second phase of works in this tunnel could not be jeopardized, as the tunnel has alternative power sources. However, it is clear that this is intentional sabotage - Karić said.

He could not speak about the possible motives for this event.

- We have informed the police about the entire case and we hope that the case will be clarified - Karić explained.
