Dozens of intellectuals to hold a press conference today at the OHR, the reason is Schmidt's anti-Bosnian actions

(Patria) - More than 50 intellectuals and public figures, including those from the Circle 99, will hold a public press conference today across from the Office of the High Representative (OHR) building in Sarajevo.

The address is scheduled to begin at 5 PM, and the organizers say it is being held in protest of the persistent anti-Bosnian, anti-European, and anti-democratic actions of High Representative Christian Schmidt.

"The High Representative's intention is to abuse the authority of this important institution of the international community for BiH in order to devalue the upcoming, final ruling in the 'Kovačević' case, after six rulings by the European Court of Human Rights.

Convinced that this act blocks the building of a European, modern Bosnian state and the restoration of traditional values of common life and a non-conflicting society, we call on all patriots for political unity.

We refuse to be instrumentalized and to produce fear of civil society, a state of human and political rights and civil liberties, through projected scenarios of violent conflicts. This is only a cover for legitimizing the political results of convicted joint criminal enterprises and genocide.

Journalists will be able to ask questions to any of the present participants of the public press conference. Citizens who appear at the press conference will be able to follow the questions and answers of the present participants," announced Circle 99.
