Ten patients at Podhrastovi clinic using ventilators

(Patria) - In the Sarajevo Canton, 274 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the past 24 hours, while in the same period, 196 of our fellow citizens recovered from this infection.

Most of the newly infected individuals, 178 of them, come from already registered family clusters or contacts with infected persons. Unfortunately, seven patients died from the consequences of the coronavirus.

In the past day, 837 people were tested for the coronavirus.

According to data from the Institute for Public Health of the Sarajevo Canton, in the past seven days, the average number of infected individuals is 314, and the weekly incidence, i.e., the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants, is 522 patients.

Currently, 284 people are hospitalized in the Sarajevo Canton, with 165 patients accommodated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 119 people being treated at the COVID-19 ward of the General Hospital "Prim.dr Abdulah Nakaš".

Ten patients at the Podhrastovi clinic are using ventilators.

The total number of infected individuals in the Sarajevo Canton since the beginning of the pandemic is 30,963, and 28,211 people have recovered.

Currently, 2,238 active cases of COVID-19 infection are registered in the Sarajevo Canton, and a total of 514 people have died since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
