TIRANA, (Patria) - Several thousand demonstrators, mostly opposition supporters, have occupied the parliament building in Tirana, demanding the resignation of the Government and the calling of early elections.
Demonstrators accuse the Government of corruption and links to crime. The parliament building is secured by several hundred police officers, as well as barbed wire.
They set tires ablaze in front of the parliament building and are chanting: "Ramo, leave!".
During earlier protests, demonstrators threw objects at the police, who responded with tear gas.
