Democratic Front: Miss of the Government and Prime Minister Konaković Called Even-Odd

Despite all the assurances of the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković and his staff of experts, the even-odd decision has proven, already in the first two or three days of its implementation - hasty and ineffective, if its only goal was to protect the health of citizens, the Democratic Front announced, Patria reports.

-First of all, and we were immediately convinced of this, it was difficult here as well to avoid the political connotation of such a decision regarding citizens: Why did you rush into it and make it before Catholic Christmas?

Let us add another question: Why did you rush into it and decide before the New Year holidays!? Especially after the decision on a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration in our capital city. Which day does New Year fall on - even or odd, who will and how, perhaps by plane and then taxi to come to the city of Sarajevo to see off 2016? Do you perhaps already have data on cancellations of arrangements and will you publish them?

Questions keep coming. One of the basic ones is: Are you punishing or still warning? How long will you warn, and if you start punishing - under which letter of the law, not to mention the draconian amount of the fine? Into which budget will those, obviously already planned, funds flow? What damages to the economy of this country will occur, bearing in mind, among other things, that Sarajevo is also a transit city through which goods and people circulate daily, whether they are businessmen (large and small) or travelers - tourists, those who would like to spend the end of this year and the beginning of the next on the Olympic mountains?

The Prime Minister praises conscientious citizens. Prime Minister, these are the same Sarajevans who, even without your "measures and fines," dispose of waste in containers and do not throw it wherever they can, these are the same Sarajevans who give up their seats to the elderly in public city transport, these are the same citizens and parents who, for the sake of their own health and that of their children, started using public transport even without your "measures."

It is clear that this problem has been going on for years and that it will take a lot of time to solve it, if, due to numerous reasons, including wild and unplanned housing construction in this Canton, which has closed off natural air flows, it is not already too late.

For years, the heating of the city by building a pipeline from the Kakanj Thermal Power Plant has been mentioned. Until then, can we consider some kind of subsidization (read: price reduction) of gas and electricity? We know that the answer will immediately follow in the style of "we already have the cheapest energy in the region, these sectors operate below commercial price, we need to create social cards..." We ask for an answer to just one question:

How much does the health of the residents of Sarajevo Canton cost? All your health reorganizations are useless if the data says that those "devilish toxic particles" remain in the lungs of our children. All your agendas and reforms of both health and tourism are useless when this Sarajevo, due to economic and now health reasons, will become a place of one-way departure for all those even slightly capable of it, and remain a city of sick, exhausted people - who have, for over twenty years now, become guinea pigs for all possible evils of this world.

And one final, purely technical question: Is there a list of officials, from municipal to state level, who have, at least these days, shown solidarity with citizens and used public transport!?
