Denial by the Ministry of Transport and Communications Regarding Komšić's Statements

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a denial regarding the statements of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, who said that from yesterday's session, an agenda item concerning the construction of the Bratunac-Ljubovija border crossing was removed, and that this was done by Saša Dalipagić.

"We deny that at yesterday's session, the Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saša Dalipagić, removed anything from the agenda; on the contrary, all items of the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina that were on the session's agenda were adopted, namely: the Draft Agreement on the Maintenance of Bridges between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, and the Decision on the Formation of the Road Traffic Safety Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as responses to three parliamentary questions.

The competence of the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina included the construction of the Bratunac-Ljubovija bridge, which was completed in cooperation with the Republic of Serbia. The Ministry has absolutely no jurisdiction over determining the categories of border crossings, as this falls under the competence of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while their construction is under the competence of the Indirect Taxation Authority," the response from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina states.
