Delić: Investing in the Future – Support for Young Families!

(Patria) - Families with children are the foundation of our community and investing in their future is investing in the future of our city. The SDA's vision is a Bihać where young families can grow and thrive without worry about financial obstacles, stated in a press release by the SDA list holder for the Bihać City Council, Ines Delić.

"In the past period, as a representative in the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton, my work was dedicated to young people and women. I advocated for ensuring support for students competing at levels above the cantonal level, which is provided for in this year's Canton budget, then for increasing grants for private kindergartens, I supported the increase of maternity benefits for unemployed mothers, increasing scholarships for our students, and for greater incentives for housing for young people," Delić stated.

She adds: "At the 21st regular session of the Assembly, I submitted two initiatives, one for determining the location and initiating the process of creating a preliminary design and project documentation for the construction of a kindergarten in the Ceravci settlement, and another for co-financing housing costs with private landlords for students of the University of Bihać."

"In the coming period, my mission will be to also put young people and women in focus in the city of Bihać, and to implement measures, like those being implemented at the canton level, at the city level as well. Without young people, there is no future, therefore we will advocate for the introduction of incentive measures for young people who want to start their own business, for support for young families during their first housing solution through the introduction of free urban planning and building permits," Delić stated.

As she says, the focus will be on implementing pronatalist policies, on adopting and implementing measures that will encourage the expansion of families and the strengthening of our community. We will advocate for the introduction of financial support for all mothers in the form of one-time cash assistance and baby equipment, for the introduction of support for families with three or more children by introducing allowances for every third and subsequent child. Likewise, we will also advocate for co-financing kindergartens for every third and subsequent child in the family, children of unemployed parents, children of single parents, children of social welfare beneficiaries, children from foster families, as well as children without parental care, children with special needs, children of civilian war victims, children of disabled persons, and children of full-time students.

"By adopting these measures, we want to provide stronger support for families with children in the city of Bihać, and thus for an increase in the birth rate, with the aim of supporting parenthood and preserving our society. Our goal is to make Bihać a desirable city to live in!" emphasizes the SDA list holder for the Bihać City Council.

"On this occasion, I would like to announce that on Friday, September 13th at 4:30 PM, in the premises of the candidate for mayor of the city of Bihać, Rusmir Musa, located at Harmanska bb, across from the Harmanska Mosque, a presentation of part of the program dedicated to women will be held. Therefore, I invite all fellow citizens to join and listen to the program of the mayoral candidate, which will be focused on stronger support for women in the city of Bihać in the coming period," Delić announced.
