Delić: EU is widely considering the introduction of a third entity, Croatian lobbyist Max Primorac could replace Schmidt

(Patria) - Croatian lobbyist Max Primorac spoke about the political situation in the Western Balkans at the last hearing of the U.S. Congress Foreign Affairs Committee. His hearing could not pass without mentioning Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he called a failed country.

MEP from HDZ BiH Željana Zovko was delighted with Primorac's performance, stating that it was indicated that a model with three federal units would represent "the only sustainable path towards long-term stability and institutional equality in BiH".

Professor at the Faculty of Administration of the University of Sarajevo Amel Delić spoke about this topic, as well as the Growth Plan adopted by the Council of Ministers of BiH, for Hayat Television last night.

- We can say that globally there is such a climate that there is a clash of civilizations, a threat to human freedoms predominantly at the expense of the population where Muslims are the majority. There is such a continuity in BiH.

We will recall the statements of Milorad Dodik. In the last year or two, it has become legitimate to say this because of Trump, the strengthening of the right in Europe. Muslims are being tried to be put at the core of the problem.

It should always be emphasized that Bosniaks did not commit genocide or a joint criminal enterprise, and that during the aggression, when they were the majority, religious buildings were not destroyed, nor was the organized persecution of the population. Therefore, practice shows something else, that Bosniaks are committed to integration.

Those who strive for the marginalization or complete disappearance of Bosniaks use dirty tactics. There are many bad examples, and this dirty and undemocratic practice is that might rules. We must find a way to provide some information to international institutions - emphasizes Delić.

He emphasizes that discussions about a third entity are already underway in European circles and that Croatian lobbyist Max Primorac could be the next High Representative. He also added that it is better late than never to adopt the Growth Plan, through which BiH received certain funds.

- Better late than never. This is not something to be proud of because we have lost money so far. In this mandate, we have stalled on the path to the EU and completely neglected NATO integration.

Any progress is good, but we are far from any serious EU strategy. Unfortunately, we are constantly struggling with an unnatural constitutional structure and two political factors that work against BiH. To this, we must add bad coalition partners and poor staffing in certain positions.

Therefore, it is difficult to expect any progress. Plans have been in preparation for several months to create a union of three republics. In the EU power centers, there is a lot of discussion about a third entity and that this Primorac should be the High Representative - concluded Delić.
