Delegates of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament to discuss changes to the Corridor Vc route today

Delegates of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH will today consider amendments by the Government of the Federation of BiH to the Proposal for a Spatial Plan of Areas of Special Significance for the FBiH. In addition to the Spatial Plan, amendments by the Government of the Federation concerning Corridor Vc, which were adopted by the House of Representatives last month, will also be on the agenda, writes Patria.

The government's amendments provide for changes to the Corridor Vc route. The most significant changes relate to the Konjic (Ovčari interchange) - Mostar North section. The Government is seeking for the section to go through a tunnel under Prenj, which would shorten the highway route by 18 kilometers and also ensure significant savings.

According to the new government amendments, the highway route on the Mostar North - Mostar South section would pass between Mostar Airport and the M17 main road, instead of through Blagaj.

The planned route corrections from Doboj-Jug to Drivuša are intended to address the issue of connecting the Tuzla - Žepče highway to the highway on Corridor Vc and to define the corridor's route through Žepče.

The Federation of BiH has so far built 92 kilometers of highway on Corridor Vc, and an additional 40 kilometers are expected to be operational by the end of 2018.
