Delegate Peštek initiated that the Police Academy at Vrace be named 'Husein Balić Police Academy' in the future

(Patria) - Delegate of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina Enes Peštek yesterday submitted an initiative at the session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament to rename the Police Academy in Sarajevo to "Husein Balić Police Academy".

Husein Balić was the head of the Police Academy (then the Police Center - Vraca) in 1992, at the beginning of the aggression against our country, when the Center was attacked by the Army of Republika Srpska. His contribution to preserving the institution, over 400 lives of trainees and associates, deserves lasting recognition, Peštek states in the explanation of the initiative.

It is added that Balić organized the defense with a group of inspectors and about twenty adult trainees during the attack on the Police Academy.

Peštek calls on the FBiH Government to initiate the process of renaming the Police Academy and thereby permanently pay tribute to Balić for his work.
