Delegations of the PA of BiH will participate in the election process of the President and Vice-Presidents of the PACE

(Patria) - The Chairwoman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA of BiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Alma Čolo, Deputy Chairwomen of the Delegation Borjana Krišto and Snježana Novaković – Bursać, member of the Delegation Edita Đapo and substitute member of the Delegation Saša Magazinović will participate in the work of the first part of the regular annual session of the PACE, which will be held in Strasbourg from January 27 to 31 this year.

Members of the Delegation of the PA of BiH to the PACE will participate in the election process of the President and Vice-Presidents of the PACE, as well as in the process of appointing members of the permanent committees of the PACE. During the seven-day winter session, several debates will be held in the areas of the rule of law, democracy, and human rights protection. Among other things, the latest developments in Libya and the Middle East and their consequences for Europe, the situation in Turkey, as well as the functioning of democratic institutions in Poland will be discussed.

The protection of freedom of religion in the workplace, the establishment of minimum standards to ensure fair and free elections, as well as the fight against trafficking in human organs and cells will also be discussed in Strasbourg. As announced, the members of the PACE will be addressed by the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili and the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon.
