NS BiH delegation visited Hukić's grave, a legend of Tuzla's Sloboda

A delegation of the Football Association, players, and staff visited the grave of the late Mustafa Hukić in Tuzla this morning, a legend of the Tuzla football club "Sloboda" and the first coach of the national team since the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Besides coach Safet Sušić, captain Edin Džeko, family members and representatives of Sloboda and the Municipality of Tuzla were also present. Hukić tragically died on August 7, 1999, in a traffic accident at the age of 48 near Lukavac.

He went through all of "Sloboda's" sections and ran among the first 11 at only 16 years of age. He played 281 league matches for Sloboda and scored 25 goals.

After his playing career, he was the head of the professional staff of the Sloboda Football Club, assistant to the coach of the BiH A national team Fuad Muzurović, and coach of our country's B national team.

In his rich football career, Hukić played for Sloboda, Osijek, American San Jose, and Adanaspor from Turkey.
