BiH delegation participates in INTERPOL General Assembly session in Beijing

A delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Deputy Minister of Security Mijo Krešić, is participating in the 86th session of the INTERPOL General Assembly in Beijing, the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.

The delegation also includes the Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Mirsad Vilić, Head of NCB Interpol Sarajevo Branislav Pavlović, and Head of the Office of the Director of DKPT Mirela Znaor. Today's world faces increasing threats from terrorism, cybercrime, and organized crime, which require a joint global response, and these topics were discussed during the session. It was reiterated that INTERPOL not only provides an effective communication platform for all member countries but also enhances their capacity to combat all categories of international crime.

As highlighted at the Assembly, the goal set under the slogan "Connecting police for a safer world" aims to achieve a new milestone in INTERPOL's history and enable the next General Assembly session to be met with even greater success based on joint efforts in combating all forms of crime. The BiH delegation will also have a series of bilateral meetings during the visit to discuss the continuation of cooperation and other important topics. As in previous General Assembly sessions, reports for the previous period and plans for the future work of working groups established within INTERPOL will be considered. In addition, new members of the INTERPOL Executive Committee will be elected at the 86th General Assembly.
