Declaration – Srebrenica, for generations to come: Joint candidate for mayor

SREBRENICA, (Patria) - SDA, SBiH, SBB, DF, PDA, several councilors in the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly, intellectuals, and political activists signed the Declaration – Srebrenica, for generations to come today in Srebrenica.

The Declaration declares the upcoming local elections as fateful, with the idea of return and survival in this area. The signatories pledged to do everything to ensure that Srebrenica gets a mayor in the elections who does not deny the genocide, and that they will support a joint candidate and contribute to that candidate's victory.

It was announced that attention must be focused on the internationalization of the issue of the current situation in Srebrenica and the actions of the ruling policy.

In Article VII of the Declaration, all citizens originating from Srebrenica are called upon to register their residence and obtain personal documents in Srebrenica, in order to exercise their right to vote in the 2020 local elections in Srebrenica.

Šefik Džaferović, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, attended the signing of the Declaration today, laying flowers at the Potočari Memorial Center and the Veljaci cemetery in Bratunac.
