(Patria) - 28 years ago, the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed in Paris. Legal expert Enver Išerić, a member of NES, commented on this date, emphasizing that the agreement stopped the killing of people and the commission of genocide and war crimes.
"However, it did not stop the aggression against our state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aggression has continued from neighboring states through their interference in both the internal and external affairs of our country.
Furthermore, over these 28 years, it has become evident that the Dayton Peace Agreement contains solutions that enable blockades of state institutions and prevent the construction of a modern, legal, and functional state that guarantees equal rights to all its citizens.
Therefore, it is necessary to initiate as soon as possible the process of amending the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will remove all its discriminatory provisions, as well as those provisions that enable blockades of institutions and weaken the efficiency of their work.
This primarily means abolishing entity voting in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly, limiting the issues decided by the House of Peoples, and implementing all judgments of the European Court of Human Rights," said Išerić.
