De Niro visited Zlatište, Jewish Cemetery, Tunnel of Hope...

Hollywood actor Robert De Niro arrived in the capital of BiH today, and after lunch in the city center, the actor decided to visit the "Tunnel of Hope". He also visited Zlatište and the Jewish Cemetery and inquired about the war events in Sarajevo.

He was interested in the appearance and the story of the Sarajevo war tunnel, which was built during the siege of Sarajevo in 1993 under the airport runway.

The idea of the "Tunnel of Hope" arose considering that Sarajevo was in a complete communication, military, and economic blockade, so from the first days of the siege, the question of technical and traffic possibilities for opening and supplying the city, which was crying out for food and weapons, arose.

In honor of the actor from the "A" list of Hollywood stars, a remastered version of his great film "Taxi Driver", made in 1976 and directed by Martin Scorsese, will be screened tonight in Sarajevo.

According to the plan and schedule, De Niro will walk the red carpet in front of the National Theatre in Sarajevo, and will bow to the audience and receive the award in the Summer Cinema, where the award will be presented to him. Incidentally, the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for lifetime achievement will be awarded for the first time this year, at the 22nd SFF.

During his visit to the "Tunnel of Hope", the famous actor signed the VIP guest book and wrote:
