The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) completed today (25 January 2016) the checks of the proposed candidates for Minister of Transport and Communications and Deputy Minister of Defence in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which began on 12 January 2016, and SIPA police officers verified the accuracy of the information provided by the proposed candidates in the forms of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
As the Patria agency learns, the candidate for Minister of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Dautbašić, and the candidate for Deputy Minister of Defence, Sead Jusić, passed the checks and there are no obstacles to their appointment to the proposed positions. Incidentally, Dautbašić was arrested on 11 January 2016 in a SIPA operation as part of the action Lutka 2 for obstruction of justice and influencing witnesses in the case of Naser Keljmendi, which is being conducted in Kosovo.
Making maximum efforts, SIPA completed the checks significantly before the legally prescribed deadline and, in accordance with the Law on the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, forwarded the final report to the Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further competence.
