Dautbašić: BiH citizens with green cards can go to Canada and Sweden, not as fake asylum seekers!

The news that has spread through BiH today is that Canada and Sweden will accept between 260,000 and 285,000 immigrants next year, which is a record number in the recent history of these countries, reports the Patria News Agency.

As explained, the new immigration plan strengthens the focus of these countries' governments on long-term economic growth and the well-being of all Canadians and Swedes. A large number of citizens from BiH have shown interest in this news, and fears have arisen that our citizens might emigrate to these countries in large numbers.

 

The Head of the Monitoring Team for the application of the visa-free regime, Bakir Dautbašić, told Patria that he is aware of this news, but that in concrete cases, it concerns legal migration, and in no way asylum seekers, especially not fake ones.

- It is known that Canada and Sweden are looking for a large number of workers, and that is what this is about. These are countries that import a large number of workers, which means immigrants must have work permits. This does not include fake asylum seekers who actually abuse the system – says Dautbašić.

He added that BiH citizens will certainly be able to go to Sweden or Canada with appropriate green cards, but not as fake asylum seekers.
