Daniel Koski appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - American diplomat Daniel Koski has assumed the position of Chargé d'Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo, announced on the embassy's website.
Koski took over this position after Michael Murphy, the outgoing ambassador, left Bosnia and Herzegovina this morning and traveled to Washington. Koski will perform this function until Murphy's successor is appointed.

Donald Trump, the U.S. President, has not yet nominated a new ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Previously, Koski served as Consul General at the U.S. Embassy in Ecuador from 2020 to 2023. He also served at the U.S. Embassy in Albania from 2016 to 2020, where he was Acting Deputy Chief of Mission for the last two years. Koski's other assignments were in Washington and at U.S. diplomatic missions in Mexico, Canada, Bolivia, Hungary, and Cuba - stated on the U.S. Embassy's website.

He is originally from Illinois.
