(Patria) - Part of this year's "Ajvatovica Days" program is a youth camp attended by activists of the Youth Network of the Travnik Muftiship and their peers from Kozarac.
Several sports and recreational activities were held on the Ajvatovica plateau, during which young people had the opportunity to show their sporting spirit and get to know each other.
"We are constantly trying to pass on the values of tradition, identity and homeland to young people. The intention of the organizing committee of the Ajvatovica Days is for young people to socialize in this environment, at this altitude and in this beauty. A good part of them are aware of identity, and they are all eager for such gatherings and meetings," said the chief imam of the Islamic Community Council (MIZ) Donji Vakuf, Amir-ef. Čavak.
As he explained, the camp also testifies to the organizers' intention to awaken among young people a desire for more intensive mutual connection, as well as connection with nature and tradition.
"We want to enrich them with these values in this way. Given that we have taken over the trust of leading society, we hope to succeed in working with youth, so that we can jointly leave some values for the generations to come," explained efendija Čavak.
The guests from Kozarac are satisfied with the hospitality, the environment in which they are staying and the program prepared for them.
As they say, it is a valuable opportunity to get to know their peers from this area, as well as an opportunity to spend the day on the Ajvatovica plateau.
"Today, about 40 of us from Kozarac came to this camp and it is truly an honor for us to be guests of this camp. We are already carrying great impressions and I take this opportunity to congratulate the organizers on such a program," stated Ajdin-ef. Hrnić, coordinator of the Kozarac Youth Network.
He assessed that the activists he works with as a coordinator will take away many impressions and have something to talk about with their friends and acquaintances.
"They will convey the most beautiful impressions of the moments we experienced here, and that is what I emphasized to my youth during the departure. The fact is that the results of today's competitions are secondary compared to socializing and new acquaintances," said efendija Hrnić.
In addition to recreational activities, educational programs were also implemented during the camp, including a lecture by the director of the Rijaset Administration for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Muhamed Jusić.
"We are glad to see that the tradition of Ajvatovica lives on and that an increasing number of young people are taking part in these activities. We see that they spend time in nature, that they are connected to faith and tradition. My message to them was to preserve their families, the sense of belonging to the Community and the awareness of unity," emphasized Jusić.
He also assessed that the gathering of youth from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a program that has an educational and social character is a success for the entire Community.
In previous years, this camp imposed the conclusion that traditional values, in addition to those who have cherished them for years, always communicate with youth as well.
The hosts from Donji Vakuf and the Travnik Muftiship, as well as the guests from Kozarac, confirmed this conclusion, and as they tell us, the memories of Ajvatovica will be part of their lasting memory.
