Leaders meet today, Indirect Taxation Authority Management Board tomorrow: Will Kraljević support the distribution of 241 million KM from road tolls in favor of RS?

(Patria) – A new attempt to distribute 241 million KM from road tolls, which are in the accounts of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, will be on the agenda of the Indirect Taxation Authority Management Board meeting tomorrow.

At the last meeting, held in December, there was no consensus on that item, and it was removed from the agenda. Federal Minister of Finance Toni Kraljević (HDZ BiH) left that meeting angrily.

According to Patria's information, tomorrow's meeting could also proceed in a similar tone, unless the political leaders who form the government and manage the processes order their ministers to support a decision detrimental to the Federation of BiH entity.

Namely, a decision has been prepared that is significantly different from previous distributions between FBiH-RS-BD (59-39-2), while 10 percent was retained to settle the debt to the disadvantaged party.

A methodology for calculation has not existed for years due to a lack of agreement among the members of the ITA Management Board, and all parameters indicate that the Federation of BiH entity has paid significantly more than it received (59 percent).

Patria's sources claim that 241 million KM should go to FBiH based on previous unfair distribution, and Brčko District would receive 5 million KM from that amount.

Allegedly, an agreement has been reached on a 64:36 distribution between FBiH and RS, while Brčko District has been excluded from this distribution. According to this calculation, the Federation would receive 154 million KM, and RS 87 million KM.

If this distribution passes, it means that the Federal Minister of Finance Toni Kraljević has protected the interests of RS, which is in financial distress, instead of the Federation of BiH, which is the majority contributor of this money.
