Today in Sarajevo: Mass Parade on the Occasion of BiH Independence Day – Bring Your Lily Flags

(Patria) – The AntiDayton Movement is organising a ceremonial vehicle parade through the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina today on the occasion of BiH Independence Day.

The gathering starts at 14:30 at the Autopijaca in Stup, and the parade is scheduled to depart at 16:30.

The organisers invite all participants to display flags with lilies, given that under that flag BiH gained its independence.

"We also invite motorcyclists, quad riders, motorcycle clubs, and all citizens ready to celebrate this important date to join the column of pride and the lily parade!

The route will be predetermined to make the parade as magnificent as possible. Details regarding the use of pyrotechnics and stopping the column will be briefly communicated on site.
We ask all participants to take part with one sincere goal – a dignified commemoration of BiH Independence Day. Coordination with police forces will be fully respected. A certain number of flags will be distributed on site to those who do not have them," they state in the announcement.

Given that the parade time coincides with iftar time, those fasting are invited to bring a sandwich and water, while a portion of sandwiches and water will be prepared by the organiser itself.

All other symbols – religious, party, symbols of other countries and the like – are strictly prohibited.
