Protest rally 'Trgovska Gora - Say NO' today

(Patria) - Today, Friday, September 13, 2019, starting at 11:00 AM in Novi Grad - Bosanski Novi, a citizens' protest rally called „Trgovska Gora – Say NO“. The rally was preceded by the signing of a citizens' petition organized by the Independent Bloc across BiH, as well as online at www.trgovskamora.com . Tens of thousands of BiH citizens have so far
signed the petition. 

The rally will be held in the main pedestrian zone in front of the cinema, and the citizens will be addressed by the coordinator of the Trgovska Gora - Say NO Initiative, Senad Šepić, Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton, Mustafa Ružnić, mayors of municipalities from the Una-Sana Canton and Republika Srpska located in this area, and representatives of entities and state institutions of BiH. A large number of citizens and representatives of the NGO sector are expected to attend the rally, opposing the construction of nuclear radioactive waste on the border of BiH, in Trgovska Gora. 

We remind you that a meeting of representatives of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia is planned for September 30, 2019, at which they are expected to make a decision on the selection of the location, and Trgovska Gora is, according to Croatian media, the closest option. Therefore, it is desirable for the public to address this issue and increase pressure on decision-makers in order to protect the lives of about 300,000 people in both BiH entities, as well as natural resources, of which the area of Una National Park and Nature Park is most endangered.
