BiH Council of Ministers and House of Representatives sessions today, SNSD members attending one, not the other

(Patria) - The 70th session of the BiH Council of Ministers (at 11:00 AM) and the 18th emergency session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament (at 12:00 PM) are scheduled for today in Sarajevo.

SNSD representatives announced yesterday that they will not attend the sessions of the House of Representatives until the Collegium of that house is filled, after Nebojša Radmanović was dismissed on January 23rd.

At the last session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, the SNSD Club's proposal to appoint Branislav Borenović in place of Radmanović did not pass. There is currently no other proposal.

And while SNSD ministers will attend the session of the BiH Council of Ministers, SNSD members will not appear in the representatives' seats. The agenda has only one item - the dismissal of the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konaković.

- Regardless of the fact that it is at our initiative, we will not participate in work that is unconstitutional and illegal because there is no Serb member of the Collegium. If the practice of unconstitutional and non-procedural scheduling of sessions continues, we will be forced to seek legal protection mechanisms - said the head of the SNSD Club, Sanja Vulić.

SNSD proposed Konaković's dismissal because he requested that January 9th be declared a day of mourning in BiH.

At today's session, this initiative will certainly not have support, and a session on the proposal for Konaković's dismissal, signed by proposers from SDA and DF, has not yet been scheduled.

SNSD has already announced that they will support this request, but without the opposition from Republika Srpska or three more votes, this dismissal is not possible.

The Trojka parties have managed to gather two representatives from NES and Šemsudin Mehmedović, as well as the opposition from Republika Srpska, and are trying to form a new majority. However, without HDZ, even that majority does not exist.

Radmanović's dismissal passed only because representatives from SDA also voted for it. For SDA and DF, all dismissals are acceptable, but they will not support any appointments.
