Reconstruction of the pier under the pedestrian bridge in Ilidža today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Construction works on the reconstruction of the pier of the pedestrian bridge over the Željeznica river in Ilidža, which began to collapse, will continue today.

The Civil Protection Headquarters of Sarajevo Canton, led by the commander, Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection Enver Hadžiahmetović, engaged the Service for Protection, Rescue from Rubble and Site Clearance formed within the legal entity Bosman d.o.o. Sarajevo.

Employees of this construction company have installed and connected bridge scaffolding around the bridge pier using machinery, after which they removed the crane that had been securing the problematic bridge pier in recent days.

"The bridge is secured with heavy bridge scaffolding, today we will proceed with the construction of a new pier and the demolition of the old one," confirmed the announcements from the company "Bosman" and Minister Hadžiahmetović, after he visited the works on this pedestrian bridge under which extremely important installations are located.
