Today protests by residents of Željezno Polje in Žepče

The main problem is that no one is helping the residents of Željezno Polje. It is a place with 5,000 people, buses are not running, which means children will not be able to go to school, said Hajrudin Derlić, a resident of Željezno Polje for the Bosnian news agency Patria, stating that the protests are scheduled for 10 a.m. in front of the Žepče Municipality building.

He also said that Bosniak representatives from the Municipality visited them, but not the mayor Mato Zovko.

- We want to initiate something to be done one way or another. These are spontaneous protests, because people can no longer manage on their own. There will be about 400 of us – said Derlić.

Derlić also emphasized that people are at the end of their strength, and winter is coming. Of the promises that everyone would have a roof over their heads by winter, he says, it seems there is nothing.

- Everything I have is tied to Željezno Polje. We only want normal living conditions, not for people to return to unsuitable homes, crooked houses, etc. – said Derlić.
