Today's farewell from the Identification Center Šejkovača: Remains of four Prijedor victims ready for burial

(Patria) - The coffins with the remains of four victims of the past war from the Prijedor area, who will be buried tomorrow after a collective funeral prayer in Kozarac, will be farewelled today from the Identification Center "Šejkovača" at 11:00 AM. The arrival of the sad column with the victims' remains at the Memorial Center "Kamičani" is planned for 8:00 PM.

These are victims killed in 1992 in the areas of Korićanske stijene, Čarakovo, and Kozarac.

The youngest victim to be buried this year in Kamičani is Forić (Kasim) Alija. He was only 23 years old when he was killed in June 1992 in the Kozarac area. His remains were exhumed at the Sivci – Mekteb site in 1998. Alija will be buried in the Šehidsko mezarje Kamičani after the funeral prayer.

The oldest victim to be buried is a woman, Musić (Ibro) Badema, born in 1942. She was 50 years old when she was killed in Čarakovo near Prijedor. Her remains were exhumed in 2018 at the Alića šuma site in Čarakovo, and she will be buried at the Šehidsko mezarje Čarakovo.

In addition to these two victims, Musić (Hajro) Nazif, born in 1960 in Čarakovo, will also find final rest this year. He was killed in July 1992, and his remains were exhumed in Čarakovo, at the Žeger site, in March last year. He will also be buried at the Šehidsko mezarje Čarakovo.

After the collective funeral prayer in Kozarac, Alji (Nedžib) Enver, born in 1966 in Skopje, Macedonia, will also be buried. He was killed in 1992 at Korićanske stijene on Vlašić, and his remains were exhumed when the last mass grave was discovered at this site in September 2017. He will be buried at the Šehidsko mezarje Kamičani.

The sad column with the victims' coffins will, after departing from the Identification Center "Šejkovača" at 11:00 AM, make brief stops today in Sanski Most at 11:30 AM, then in Ključ at 12:30 PM, followed by Bosanski Petrovac at 2:00 PM, Bihać at 3:30 PM, Bosanska Krupa at 5:00 PM, Bosanska Otoka at 5:40 PM, Bosanski Novi at 6:30 PM, Prijedor at 7:15 PM, with arrival in Kamičani scheduled for 8:00 PM.
