May child benefits and maternity allowances to be paid today

The Ministry of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton announces that the payment of May cash benefits to municipal services on behalf of beneficiaries who have exercised rights based on the protection of families with children in Sarajevo Canton will begin today, reports the Patria news agency.

The Ministry has allocated funds in the amount of 2,290,940.55 KM for 25,362 beneficiaries of the right to child allowance, compensation in lieu of salary for a working mother while on leave due to pregnancy, childbirth and childcare, financial assistance during pregnancy and childbirth for a non-working mother, health insurance for child allowance beneficiaries, placement of children in preschool institutions, assistance for child nutrition up to six months and additional nutrition for nursing mothers, and one-time assistance for newborn equipment, it was announced from the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
