Urgent session of the House of Peoples of the PA BiH today

(Patria) - An urgent session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament has been scheduled for today in Sarajevo, starting at 11:00 AM.

The agenda consists of six items, including draft laws and decisions on the dismissal of SNSD officials in the Collegium of the House of Peoples and the Council of Ministers of BiH.

However, the session will likely not take place due to a lack of quorum, considering that four delegates from the Bosniak People's Caucus have informed the Speaker Nikola Špirić that they will not attend.

Caucus leader Šefik Džaferović explained this decision by stating that the Rules of Procedure are being grossly violated by two members of the Collegium - Speaker Špirić and his deputy Dragan Čović.

- They did not hold a Collegium session and had no communication with the member of the Collegium from the Bosniak people when scheduling the session, yet they scheduled a session - Džaferović stated.

He added that the member of the Collegium from the Bosniak people, Kemal Ademović, informed them of these actions in his letter of May 29, telling them that they were not respecting the Rules of Procedure and informing them that he would be out of BiH on that day, June 5.

- That is the reason why, preserving our dignity and respecting the role of this caucus, we have informed the Speaker of the House of Peoples, the remaining four delegates, that we will not attend the session, and Kemal Ademović informed him in his letter of May 29 - Džaferović explained.

The proposed agenda for today's session includes the Draft Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, the Draft Law on the Court of BiH, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH, and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions.

The last two items are the Draft Decision on the dismissal of the Speaker/First Deputy Speaker/Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Nikola Špirić, and the Draft Decision on the dismissal of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Srđan Amidžić.
