It would be Dino's birthday today: My dad had two lives

Dino Dvornik would have celebrated his 51st birthday today. His daughter Ella decided to mark it, as she does every year, by posting on Facebook, reports the Patria News Agency.  

"Every year when it's my dad's birthday, I write something. Today he would have celebrated his 51st birthday, and so I dedicate this post to him again. A million journalists called me to ask for a statement about his birthday, however, I did not answer any of their calls. I apologize to everyone if this offended you, but I don't feel like repeating the same thing over and over... No crying, no regretting, no complaining, I wrote something that my dad once told me 'a long time ago' in 1998 when I came home crying, hoping his mind and life motto would inspire you.

He always motivated and inspired me, and when I cried, he told me, 'don't whine, you're wasting time.' Many of you know him as Dino Dvornik, however, I only knew him as 'dad.' Therefore, I decided to explain in this column what kind of parent Dino was... not a musician... because he had two lives, and the one I witnessed is much more special than the one you know. My dear dad, I wish you the happiest 51st birthday, I love you and you are always in my heart.

I only ask for nice comments without sad emoticons! Today is a happy day, not a sad one. Let's not regret what we don't have, but let's be happy that we had the opportunity to have it! Some didn't have that opportunity," Ella wrote.  

The birthday was also marked on Dino's Facebook page, where it was posted: "Dino, wherever you are, Happy Birthday! We love you more and more every day! It's boring without you, we miss your unique spirit, good and positive vibe, and most importantly, your music! Nobody like you!" writes Index.
