"Day of Traditional Family": We demand from BiH authorities the preservation of the basic unit of society

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A peaceful walk was held in Sarajevo today as part of the "Day of Traditional Family" event.

The organizers of this event are the Association of Citizens Svjetlo and their partners.

The gathering began around 2 PM at the Eternal Flame, followed by a walk to the BiH Parliament building.

Before the walk began, the organizers stated that they primarily want BiH authorities to invest more effort in preserving the family as the basic unit of society.

Participants of the walk, numbering several hundred, were given instructions by the organizers not to litter, not to shout slogans against anyone, and to adhere to the rules.

A significant number of members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton and security guards were noticeable on the streets of Sarajevo. The "Day of Traditional Family" passed without incident.

This event comes a day before the first BiH Pride March is to be organized in Sarajevo.

The capital of BiH is the last in Europe to organize an LGBTIQ parade.
