Day after the welcome ceremony in Bihać: Mayor Galijašević hosted a reception for Džanan Musa

One of the greatest sporting achievements of the city of Bihać, winning the European champion title and Džanan Musa's brilliant performance in the final match, was celebrated by the citizens of Bihać last night with a spectacular welcome at the city square, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- I thought that after Sarajevo there would be no more spectacular welcome in Bihać, but the opposite happened and last night my heart was truly filled. Even if Los Angeles had prepared a welcome, last night's in Bihać would be dearer to me. Thank you all for the support and gifts that were given to me, and now I turn to new sporting challenges and the fight for a place in my home club KK Cedevita - said Musa.

The day after the grand welcome, a reception was organized for Džanan and his family at the city administration of Bihać, where Mayor Emdžad Galijašević and Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton Izudin Saračević once again, on behalf of all citizens of Bihać and the Krajina region, congratulated young Džanan on winning the European champion title, as well as on his actions and deeds that promote the city of Bihać and the Una-Sana Canton.

- The final was unforgettable and truly we were all, as they say, on pins and needles throughout the entire match, but our boys led by Džanan showed all their talent and showed how to fight for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I congratulate the Musa family, as well as his first coach Edis Subašić who recognized Džanan's talent. Džanan's success will be rewarded by the city of Bihać with the purchase of an apartment, and that is the least we could do for our European champion - says Mayor Galijašević.

On this occasion, Musa gave Galijašević a basketball signed by the players.

For his exceptional achievements in the field of sports, successes in sports competitions at home and abroad, and the promotion and development of sports in the area of the city of Bihać and the Una-Sana Canton, the City Council of Bihać awarded Džanan Musa the "Japodski konjanik" award this year at the ceremonial session on the occasion of the City of Bihać Day on February 26.
