INDEPENDENCE DAY Numerous delegations paid tribute at memorial sites

At the central memorial at Kovači cemetery and at the grave of the first President of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović, the commemoration of March 1st - Independence Day began this morning.

Flowers were laid and tribute was paid by the Chairman and members of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović, representatives of the State and Federation Parliaments, cantonal authorities, the Armed Forces of BiH…

Flowers were also laid and tribute was paid at the monument at the Eternal Flame, and then at the Monument to the Children of Sarajevo killed during the last war from 1992-1995.

Tribute was then paid at the memorial sites in Veliki Park and on Vrace.

The commemoration of Independence Day in Sarajevo will conclude with an academy at the City Hall.
