A day after the abolition of the "white bread", the Council of Ministers returns all benefits to government officials!

Just 24 hours after the delegates of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament abolished the so-called white bread, the Council of Ministers submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH a Proposal for a law on amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions, which envisages the restoration of this benefit to elected and appointed officials after the expiry of their mandate, writes the Patria news agency.

The proposed amendments to the law, among other things, state that “in the event of the dismissal of a civil servant due to misconduct, the civil servant is entitled to severance pay in the amount of six of their net salaries, excluding bonuses, and a civil servant with at least 15 years of service is entitled to severance pay in the amount of twelve of their net salaries, excluding bonuses."

The Council of Ministers, in the proposed amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions, envisages that elected and appointed persons in BiH institutions, after the termination of their mandate, have the right to a salary until the establishment of a new employment relationship or retirement, but for a maximum of six months from the cessation of public office.

This right would apply to members of the Presidency, deputies and delegates in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, and members of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
