
(Patria) - On November 25th, Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was marked at the Vratar Old Town in Žepa.
Organized by the Majlis of the Islamic Community Žepa and with the participation of the Youth Network of the Mufti's Office of Goražde, the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was raised at the Vratar Old Town above Žepa today, accompanied by the playing of the state anthem.
A history lesson was held, and tribute was paid at the Memorial Monument in Vratar, after which Yasin and a prayer for the martyrs were recited.
Elvedin ef. Selimović, chief imam of the Majlis of the Islamic Community Žepa, said that the goal is not to forget important dates from our history, and that November 25th is one of the most important.
- It is the day when the statehood of BiH was restored. We want to show that the homeland is loved and that it lives in Žepa, Rogatica, and Višegrad too.
We must not forget important dates and our homeland - said ef. Selimović.
