Damir Vejo charged with unauthorized use of official vehicle

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office against Damir Vejo for the criminal offense of abuse of office.

The accused is charged that from 2019 to 2021, while performing the duties of Director of the Academy at the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, he used the official car, a Golf, unauthorizedly at least 321 times, without written authorization from the minister.

It was proposed that the accused be banned from performing the duties of Director of the Academy for one year after the verdict becomes final.

For the main hearing, the acting prosecutor proposed that the court hear 10 witnesses and present about 70 material pieces of evidence.
