Damir Nikšić expelled from SDP

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Main Board of the SDP expelled Damir Nikšić from the party today. 

Nikšić himself announced on Facebook that he was expelled and that 68 members of the Main Board voted for his expulsion, four members voted against, and six abstained.

SDP President Nermin Nikšić stated before the Main Board session that the party's Presidency had unanimously decided to expel Damir Nikšić from the party, due to insults directed at some party members.

"The SDP does not have a problem with those who think differently, but we cannot allow colleagues to be insulted, thus causing damage within the party, as well as damage in public," said the SDP president.

Damir Nikšić is a representative in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, so it remains to be seen how he will act as a representative after his expulsion from the SDP.
