Damir Mašić denies Konaković: I was not on the commission that interviewed and evaluated candidates for the BiH Constitutional Court

(Patria) - The president of People and Justice Elmedin Konaković stated for a media outlet today that the federal MP Damir Mašić from SDP was on the commission that interviewed and evaluated candidates for the BiH Constitutional Court.

"I regret that the president of NIP Elmedin Konaković, I hope unknowingly and unintentionally, in his public statement, misled it and stated an untruth that I was a member of the ad hoc commission that interviewed and evaluated candidates for the Constitutional Court judge. That is not true," Mašić stated on X.

He also attached a document showing who was on the commission. The previous commission included one member from SDA and one from DF. However, the commission in that composition did not complete the procedure, so in January 2023, the composition of the Commission was changed, appointing Irfan Durić (NES) and Rasim Smajlović (NIP). Mladen Bošković (HDZ BiH) remained on the commission, along with two judges.

This commission interviewed the candidates in February 2023 and created a list according to which HDZ's favorite Marin Vukoja is the top-ranked candidate, despite having no work experience in the judiciary.
