(Patria) - Yesterday, information appeared in the public that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and
Herzegovina will pass a Decision on approving financial assistance for municipalities and cities affected by floods, in the amount of 200 thousand KM each, it was announced from the GO SDA Mostar.
"To put it mildly, we were surprised to see that the City of Mostar, which was also affected by a natural disaster in the area of the Local Community of Drežnica, is not among the proposed municipalities and cities.
We have already spoken about this publicly, while the City of Mostar has officially sent requests to the Council of Ministers and the Government of the Federation of BiH.
We publicly ask the Government of the Federation of BiH and Prime Minister Nikšić: Are you even aware that part of Mostar was also affected by a natural disaster, and that this damage amounts to millions?
If so, what is the reason for excluding Mostar and Drežnica from the mentioned proposal? The public and citizens of Mostar, and especially Drežnica, demand and deserve answers to these questions. We appeal to reason and ask the ministers in the Government of the Federation of BiH to react and for the City of Mostar to be included in the Decision after all.
It is a separate issue that the Government will approve a meager 200 thousand KM, which is not even a small fraction of what is needed for all municipalities and cities affected by floods.
It seems that this is only an indicator of the current state of the Federation's budget due to the conduct of such policies," it was announced.
