Is peace on the horizon: Dodik invites Ivanić, Čavić and Bosić to a meeting

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has invited the presidents of political parties from RS – holders of power at the RS and BiH level, to attend a meeting on Friday, 9 October, in Banja Luka, where the current situation in Republika Srpska and BiH will be discussed, reports the Patria news agency.

Dodik said that representatives of SNSD, DNS, SP, SDS, PDP and NDP have been invited, noting that on behalf of SNSD, the vice-president of this party, Nebojša Radmanović, has been invited to the meeting.

The President of RS assessed that political topics of general interest must be considered at such a level, adding that there are many issues for discussion.

He emphasized that these are political parties with their own interests, but that it is necessary to agree on a general level of positions in the joint institutions of BiH regarding what constitutes Republika Srpska, and the manner in which these activities will be coordinated.

Dodik stated that there is no conflict between political entities, but only a clash of different opinions on the same topic, which is characteristic of democratic systems.

He recalled that he had previously convened similar meetings, which some attended and others did not.

-Honestly, I expect that all those invited will now come. The time was also chosen – Friday afternoon so that everyone would have the opportunity to do so. I think the meeting can only succeed if the key people are there, Dodik emphasized.

According to him, if any of those invited do not come to the meeting, that represents their political message regarding the agreement that is sought to be reached.
