Did Lukač Consult Him: Will Selmanović Get Professionals or the Compliant

The list of 15 candidates for admission to the Federal Police Administration for the position of police officer was personally made by Director Dragan Lukač, who ignored the list compiled by the Commission based on the candidates' results, reports the Patria agency.

While awaiting the Police Board's decision on the appeals of the aggrieved candidates, there is growing talk within the FUP that the director, who should have retired long ago and who disregarded the Commission's assessment, will achieve his goal. It is clear to everyone that the jobs will not go to the best candidates, but to those who are suitable, whether along national or political lines!

The question is whether Lukač, who is under the direct control of the Minister of Internal Affairs Aljoša Čampara, even consulted with Mustafa Selmanović, the acting commander of the Special Unit. Is there anyone more competent who could advise on what kind of men should be employed in this unit?

Selmanović was a member of the Bosna Detachment during the war, and remained a special forces officer in peacetime, after the Detachment underwent a transformation and operates as the Special Unit of the Federal Police Administration. The Special Police Unit of the Federal Police Administration, formed from elite police officers, carefully selected and equipped with highly sophisticated equipment, should be the main characteristic of this unit.

Given that Lukač did not even respect the Commission's assessment, it is unlikely that he would ask Selmanović for advice or help. Selmanović has often emphasized that today's Special Unit of the FUP is very well organized and that it is, of course, much easier than during the war because they are focused exclusively on police tasks.

But will it remain so after the second competition for the admission of special forces officers is already suspicious and irregular!? Precisely because of this, Selmanović would have to react, because in the end, he will be working with these men.

We remind you, Lukač took the candidate from 48th place out of 50 candidates and placed him 15th, even though he had 52 points. The first 15 placed according to the Commission's assessment had from 71 points to 67, which was achieved by the 15th on the list.

However, Lukač still placed names on his list that were far below the 15th place. Thus, he placed candidates from 18th, 27th, 42nd, and 48th places among the top 15. Precisely because of this, the candidates who took 10th, 11th, 12th, and 14th place on the Commission's list will not get jobs in the FUP. These candidates declared themselves as Bosniaks. Their positions were replaced by candidates who declared themselves as Croats and one from the category of Others.

Although the Commission made a list of the most successful candidates, Lukač apparently had other plans. After the media published one of these examples, the FUP issued a reaction stating that they are not an employment bureau or a social work center.
