Will the FBiH Government appoint pensioner Lukač to head FUP or will the competition be repeated?

At today's session of the FBiH Government, the position of Dragan Lukač will also be considered, meaning the Government will decide whether to confirm Lukač as head of the Federal Police Administration or to follow the recommendation of the Commission of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament for Security that the competition was illegal and should be annulled, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

As concluded at the Commission's session, the Independent Board, which conducted this competition and proposed the appointment of Dragan Lukač as head of FUP, should proceed with annulment, because the new Law on Internal Affairs of the Federation came into force during the competition period.

We remind you that Lukač's mandate expired on December 7, 2014, and due to his years of service, he is formally already a pensioner.

Sead Selman, president of the Independent Board, said yesterday, as Patria reported, that Lukač will be appointed regardless of the FBiH Government's stance.

The fact that things are not clean in the Independent Board is also shown by its illegitimate composition, because the new law states that at least two members must be women, which is not the case with the current convocation.
