Cvijanović requests extraordinary session of the BiH Presidency to dismiss Fatih Kol from the position of Honorary Consul in Panama

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović has submitted an initiative to dismiss the honorary BiH consul in Panama, Fatih Kol. She requested an extraordinary session where Kol would be dismissed.

The request for dismissal was sent after the portal Istraga published that Kol is connected to the Tito and Dino drug cartel and is under investigation by the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

It was Kol who was appointed honorary consul in Panama at the initiative of Željka Cvijanović, and at the insistence of her party colleague Staša Košarac, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, who is on good terms with Kol.

Kol was appointed at a session held in October 2023, by a unanimous decision of the BiH Presidency.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has issued an order to conduct an investigation against Fatih Kol on suspicion of money laundering for the drug cartel led by Edin Gačanin Tito from Dubai. Kol, as Istraga.ba has learned, was supposed to be arrested along with the heads of the FUP and businessman Gordan Memija as part of the international operation "Black Tie 2". As Kol was not in the territory of BiH at that time, he could not be arrested. However, his name was mentioned in the proposal for detention or restrictive measures for members or associates of the Tito and Dino drug cartel.
