(Patria) - Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović sent congratulations
to US President Donald Trump on the occasion of July 4th, Independence Day of the
United States of America.
"On the occasion of July 4th, Independence Day of the United States of America, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.
July 4th remains a lasting symbol of the American people's commitment to the ideals of freedom,
self-determination, and democracy. These principles, enshrined in the Declaration of Independence,
continue to inspire not only the citizens of the United States of America but also numerous other peoples and states.
On the occasion of this significant national holiday, I wish you, your family, and all
American citizens good health, well-being, and success.
May the spirit of freedom, independence, and pride that shaped your vision continue to strengthen the United States and inspire other nations".
Otherwise, OFAC imposed sanctions on Željka Cvijanović in July 2023. However, regardless of the sanctions, she received a visa and visited America during May and attended events marking the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
