Guardians of Bosnia with Ogrešević: Stop the derogation of state institutions and strengthen BiH

(Patria) - Nermin Ogrešević, president of the People's European Alliance, held a meeting with representatives of the Citizens' Association Guardians of Bosnia.

In line with the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is necessary to urgently develop a plan that will democratically stop the violation of constitutional norms and the undermining of the foundations of our state and statehood, which we have been witnessing for some time.

As an association that articulates the views of patriotic forces, it was conveyed to Ogrešević that this issue can only be addressed through strict adherence to clear constitutional norms, respect for the views of all parliamentary parties, and the general interests of our state, not just those of individual political parties.

As the leader of a party that was among the first to uncover and recognize the subservient policy of the coalition at the state level and that renounced positions and participation in government, NES is expected to continue its principled action until the final strengthening of the state of BiH, whose sovereignty and territorial integrity must not be compromised.

Expressing concern over the increasingly conscious and stronger division of BiH into two entities, which are increasingly becoming extensions of two neighboring states, pro-Bosnian parties are being called upon for more concrete action and more decisive efforts to stop this trend.

It was concluded that Bosniaks are systematically oppressed and marginalized in both entities. In the Federation of BiH, processes are dictated by HDZ-BiH and Zagreb, while the RS is turning into a part of Serbia, where Bosniaks are rapidly losing freedoms and rights.

This is unacceptable and must be stopped urgently. Ogrešević supported the idea of the Guardians of Bosnia to consider introducing mandatory military service in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as establishing a secondary police school, for more adequate and comprehensive training of police personnel.

It was also concluded that it is necessary to persist in a comprehensive amendment of the BiH Constitution, which would primarily include the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, and the immediate cessation of the derogation of state institutions of BiH.
