'Guardians of Bosnia': Konaković's unfounded accusations endanger BiH's security and harm its defenders!

(Patria) - The association 'Guardians of Bosnia' reacted to the dangerous and unfounded accusations made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković.

"We are forced to react in defense of honorable individuals who defended Bosnia and Herzegovina with their actions and acted exclusively in the best interest of our country in the most critical moments. Without any evidence, Konaković, through several media outlets, accused individuals of alleged ties to the intelligence services of neighboring countries, labeling them as collaborators of KOS and BIA, without any basis or arguments.

Konaković, using the methods of an unfounded "hearsay" approach, targets and puts targets on the heads of individuals, media houses, and by accusing the advisor of the late Alija Izetbegović, he indirectly accuses the first president and commander of our glorious Army of RBiH.

Contrary to what he declaratively advocates for, Konaković's actions have the characteristics of intelligence operations, thereby endangering BiH's security and harming its loyal defenders for the benefit of neighboring countries.

Even more concerning is the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs that he receives information from neighboring countries, without informing the security structures of BiH. This leaves open the question: is Konaković himself, through his actions and contacts, the one he accuses others of being? If we add to this the fact that Konaković was the loudest advocate for Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the Open Balkan initiative – which many consider a euphemism for the "Serbian world" – it becomes clearer whose interests he truly serves.

We remind the public that Konaković has already directly benefited Zagreb's and HDZ BiH's interests with his policies (the most obvious example being the approval of the request for so-called legitimate representation), placing himself in the service of narrow interests, not the interests of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This latest statement and attempts to discredit honorable people only confirm his readiness to sacrifice the security and integrity of our country in order to preserve power and remain in the service of Zagreb, not the people of BiH.

We hereby call on Minister Konaković to stop making dangerous accusations without evidence and to, in accordance with the function he performs, dedicate himself to the protection and interests of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, instead of using the platform of his state function for personal political goals," the statement from Guardians of Bosnia reads.
